Transport Planner – General Haulage

Rand Brothers is a long-standing, family-run agricultural business now expanding into general haulage. With a newly launched fleet of curtain side and skeletal trailers, we’re seeking a Transport Planner to help lead and grow this exciting new area of the business.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants more than just a planning role — we’re looking for someone who’s proactive, driven, and keen to develop with the business.
About the Role:
- Plan and manage daily operations for our new general haulage fleet
- Support an established fleet of bulk tippers and 8-wheelers, as needed
- Ensure efficient routing, legal compliance, and strong driver communication
- Build and maintain customer relationships, ensuring top-level service
- Actively seek out new work opportunities and help develop our client base
- Contribute to shaping systems and processes as the division grows
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience in transport planning (haulage industry preferred)
- Understands vehicle routing, driver hours, and transport compliance
- Communicates clearly with drivers and customers alike
- Has initiative and a business development mindset
- Is motivated to grow with the role and the wider team
- Can work independently and solve problems in a fast-moving environment
