Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our transit team on nights. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by loading and unloading freight through the night. This is a very busy department and accuracy is essential. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
Duties
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to load and unload goods safely.
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse.
- Perform picking and packing of orders accurately for shipping to customers.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed efficiently.
- Conduct regular checks on equipment and machinery, applying mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues.
- Participate in heavy lifting tasks as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a clean and organised workspace.
Experience
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with materials handling techniques is advantageous.
