Lansdown Financial Services are a young and ambitious mortgage broker based in the heart of Bath. As we continue to grow our team we are looking for a trainee mortgage administrator to join us.
The ideal person will be comfortable working in a small team with the desire to progress and build their career as the business expands.
Our clients and customers are at the heart of everything we do, and providing an outstanding service is paramount to how we operate.
The position will be responsible for assisting our other case managers and mortgage brokers. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate professionalism and be comfortable dealing with clients, lenders, providers and solicitors.
Although we don't require any experience in the mortgage industry, we do require excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn.
This will be a Monday – Friday role, initially based in our central Bath office whilst training is provided, but with a view to a hybrid working week in the future if desired.
Job Duties:
- Dealing with incoming calls, emails and post
- Data entry of mortgage & protection applications
- Regular liaison with lenders, providers and solicitors to obtain updates on application status
- Help to progress mortgage and protection applications through to completion
- Other ad hoc duties as business levels demand
Required:
- GCSE is English and Maths.
- IT skills with knowledge of word, excel, outlook, social media
- Accurate typing and Data Entry skills with an attention to detail
- Ability to resolve problems quickly & efficiently
- Outstanding communication skills at all levels, both written and oral
- Demonstrate a confident telephone manner & excellent customer service
- A team player with ability to use own initiative
