Did you know we have over 6000 swimmers per week on our KAL Learn 2 Swim programme. As our programme grows we need our workforce to do the same. We are now recruiting for a Trainee Aquatic and Activity Activator based at one of KALs facilities.
As a Trainee Aquatics and Activity Activator you will gain multiple qualifications (including lifeguard and swimming teaching) specific to your role that are funded by KAL. We will provide a designated mentor to progress you through an individual training development plan with potential to progress within the Aquatics and Activity structure.

Requirements of Trainee Aquatic and Activity Activator
- Experience of organising, supporting and delivering group sessions
- Hold the RLSS National Pool Lifeguard or the ability to complete within the first 3 months of employment
- Flexibility with working hours (daytime, evenings and weekends are a must)
- A confident and friendly approach
Responsibilities of Aquatic and Activity Activator
- Plan, lead, coach, and deliver engaging swimming and activity sessions throughout KAL, following KAL Swim Scheme of Work and Expected Standards
- Administrative tasks related to the post including but not limited to; the continual update of the GoLearn and SharePoint systems
- · Ensure participant safety through guidance, instruction, supervision, and demonstration as per industry guidance
