Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a mechanical knowledge and experience in operating various machinery within a rail environment. This role involves working with a clam shell attachment on a wheeled excavator to complete an aggregate discharge process from a train while adhering to safety standards.
Duties
- Discharging of aggregate from a railhead.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and executing necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and resolve operational challenges.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in machine operation.
- Previous experience in the use of clam shell would be an advantage and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- An ability to be adaptive to needs of company, work independently and as part of a larger team.
- Loading shovel experience would also be an advantage, but training can be given.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
