TimberStore UK Ltd in Gulworthy is seeking an additional team member for the role of Salesperson. While experience within the timber and builders’ merchant industry is useful, a can-do attitude and willingness to learn are essential requirements. - About the Role:
- Customer Service: As a trade counter salesperson, you’ll interact with customers face-to-face and over the phone. Your goal is to provide excellent service, assist with inquiries, and help customers find the right products.
- Order Processing: You’ll take orders from customers, handle payments (both card and cash), and ensure accurate processing of transactions.
- Shop Maintenance: Keeping the trade counter and shop clean, organized, and well-presented is part of your responsibilities.
- Picking stock and assisting in the loading of customers vehicle
- Checking stock deliveries & putting stock away
- Picking of stock for deliveries
- Delivering products to customers if required
- Performing any other duties as may be deemed necessary or as may be required.
- Please note this role does require occasional heavy lifting.
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous customer service and/or sales experience, ideally from a merchant background.
- Passionate about delivering excellent customer service in person and over the phone.
- Strong communication skills.
- Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Alternate Saturday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
- Bank Holidays: Closed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £24,420.00-£39,858.05 per year
