Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Tour Guide to join our team. As a Tour Guide, you will be responsible for leading groups of visitors through various tours, providing them with engaging and informative commentary about the history, culture, and significance of each location. Your passion for storytelling and ability to connect with people will enhance the visitor experience, making their journey memorable and enjoyable.
Responsibilities
- Conduct guided tours for groups of varying sizes, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Share interesting facts, anecdotes, and historical information about the sites visited.
- Answer questions from tour participants and provide additional insights as needed.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during tours.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanour at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to develop new tour routes and enhance existing ones.
- Collect feedback from participants to improve future tours.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Strong knowledge of local history, culture, and attractions (previous experience as a Tour Guide is advantageous).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A friendly and approachable personality that fosters a welcoming environment for guests.
- Proficiency in additional languages is a plus but not mandatory.

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
Pay: £12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
