Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Room Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children aged2 to 3 years. The Toddler Room Leader will be responsible for implementing age-appropriate activities and fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the developmental needs of Toddler Room-aged children.
- Manage activities and maintain a safe, clean, and organised learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.
- Lead group activities that promote teamwork, sharing, and social skills among children.
- Observe and assess children's development, documenting progress and identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other educators to create a cohesive educational experience for all students.
- Drive initiatives that promote inclusivity and respect for diversity within the classroom setting.
Skills
- Strong leadership abilities to guide children in their learning journey.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience in childcare or early childhood education settings is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics while ensuring each child receives individual attention as needed.
- A nurturing approach that encourages children's emotional well-being and self-esteem.
- Knowledge of nursery rhymes, songs, and activities suitable for preschool-aged children is beneficial.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development in early childhood education practices.
