Retail Timber Assistant
Active and energetic person to join a growing timber business.
Experience within the industry, or as a hobby would be beneficial but full training will be given.
It will be a physically demanding role, which will also require the use of machinery, forklift trucks and computer systems as part of the daily working process.
Training on various timber milling machinery provided.
Some Saturday working will be required as part of the standard working week.
Reporting to the Retail Timber Manager (if this is what I am?)
Key Roles:
Ensuring and maintaining Health and Safety of the working environment
Working with other team members to assist in their daily tasks when required
Measuring and uploading new stock using our computerised system
Picking and packing of online orders ready for despatch or collection
Carrying out weekly stocktakes
Assisting customers with the selection, movement and loading of purchases
Maintaining excellent housekeeping in the Retail Area and other workspaces
Stock movement using forklift trucks and other mechanical aids, as well as manual handling.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.21-£12.75 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
