Sport and Health Academy Education Group have some exciting Sports Coach opportunities
We seek to temporarily place a high-quality sports coach in one of our partnered schools in Croydon. This is a temporary role for one week, so please only apply if you are available from Monday 23rd June to Friday 27th June, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
What you will need to succeed
School leaders are searching for confident, adaptable, and enthusiastic individuals with an interest in the education sector. Perhaps you’re an aspiring PE teacher, a recent sports graduate, or an experienced coach looking for the perfect short-term opportunity to gain valuable school-based experience. The successful candidate will have opportunities and challenges to develop their practice while making a positive impact on pupils during after-school athletics activities.
Your responsibilities
As a sports coach, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation and delivery of an athletics event at a primary school. Your duties will include:
- Assisting staff with setting up and managing event stations (e.g. races, long jump, relay).
- Supervising and encouraging pupils to participate safely and confidently in activities.
- Supporting pupils who may need additional guidance or reassurance during the event.
- Helping maintain a positive, inclusive, and enthusiastic atmosphere throughout the day.
- Ensuring the smooth flow of the schedule and transitions between events.
- Assisting with any logistical or administrative tasks as required by school staff.
