To support this, we’re hiring an Technical Support Supervisor (Plumbing/Heating) — someone with real experience in the trade who can guide our engineers, coordinate their work, and ensure every job is completed to a gold standard.
Role Overview
The Technical Support Supervisor is the operational backbone of our workforce — providing desk-based leadership, technical guidance, and scheduling oversight to our field engineers.
You’ll be the go-to support for both our subcontractors and in-house engineers, ensuring smooth communication, swift solutions to site challenges, and best-in-class customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first line of support for all engineer queries, both technical and logistical
- Liaise with customers where necessary to clarify scope, manage expectations, or resolve issues
- Manage, review and optimise daily and weekly job schedules
- Provide remote guidance during jobs via phone, WhatsApp, or video
- Monitor engineer performance, job completion, and customer feedback
- Flag any training or development needs and work with directors to resolve
- Proactively identify and prevent issues before they escalate
- Work closely with CRM and job management systems (Zoho/Big Change)
- Ensure compliance with company standards, safety protocols, and documentation
About You
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in plumbing and heating (NVQ Level 2+ preferred)
- Strong understanding of common on-site challenges and customer service expectations
- You’ve been “on the tools” — now ready to support others
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills
- A proactive mindset: you solve problems before they happen
- Confident communicator who can give clear instructions and motivate engineers
- Comfortable working with technology: CRM systems, WhatsApp, Slack, Google Sheets, etc.
