We are looking for a Team Leader to join our team! Experience of care and at least 2 years experience of leading a team is essential. You will need to have effective communication skills (verbal and written) and will have, or be working towards a Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification (or equivalent).
Hours/shifts: 37.5 hours a week, alternate weekends, mixture of early and late shifts (2 week rolling rota)
A full induction will be provided.
Overall Purpose: To work as part of a team to provide residents in the Home with the highest standards of care and to ensure that their needs are met and their safety maintained. To contribute positively towards individualised care in providing a supportive, welcoming and responsive approach in all aspects of the service. To act as a role model for staff and to ensure a consistent standard of practice is maintained.
Main responsibilities:
Ensure the effective running and safety of the Home and leading the team, ensuring all duties are carried out to a high standard
Coach, guide, supervise and develop staff in delivering a high quality service.
Assist residents with their needs including personal care and hygiene as outlined in each resident’s plan of care.
Continuously assess, implement and evaluate residents care and update care plans accordingly
Liaise effectively with families, outside agencies and other professionals.
Administer medications and assist with the ordering and disposal of medications
Be aware of and follow policies, procedures and guidelines
Ensure effective communication and recording
Attend training and professional development opportunities in line with the role and responsibilities.
Manage emergencies effectively and professionally and access appropriate services and assistance as required.
