Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with class teachers to deliver engaging and innovative lessons for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students.
- Provide targeted one-on-one and small group support, including for pupils with SEN (Special Educational Needs), to boost their confidence and progress.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management.
- Inspire young learners by supporting literacy, numeracy, and creative activities.
- Engage in school life, from preparing teaching resources to participating in exciting school events and activities.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or similar role in a primary school is a plus but not essential – your enthusiasm is key!
- Qualifications: A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is advantageous, but we welcome candidates with relevant experience or a genuine passion for education.
- Skills: Excellent communication, patience, and the ability to build strong connections with students and colleagues.
- Attributes: Energetic, reliable, and committed to supporting children’s learning and well-being.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with the UK primary school curriculum or SEN support is beneficial but not required.
