The Role
Due to continued growth in Glasgow, we are now recruiting for a Tax Compliance Assistant to join our Glasgow office and wider Tax Compliance Team.
The main elements of this role will include:
- Being responsible for entering tax information into the relevant sections of our Tax software ready for review by a Tax Compliance Manager
- Meeting with clients when they are dropping off Tax records in the local office
- Sending reminders to clients of required / missing information
- Completing electronic submission of returns to HMRC
- Liaising with HMRC when required and working with the Tax Compliance Seniors / Assistant Managers to resolve client queries
- Reporting any HMRC compliance enquiry notices to the Tax Compliance Manager

The Candidate
In order to fulfil the responsibilities of the position, we would like candidates to be / have:
- A Full UK Driving Licence (desirable not essential requirement)
- Either ATT or CTA qualified already, or be "Qualified by Experience"
- Experience of working in an Accounting / Tax Compliance capacity at an Accountancy Practice
- Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
- A dedicated team player and willing to assist colleagues in the team where possible
- Able to prioritise workloads and work well under pressure
- Able to use initiative and have great organisation / problem solving skills
- Keen to become part of a dynamic team
