We are seeking a dedicated and skilled takeaway fryer/Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced takeaway/kitchen environment. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation and food safety, ensuring that every dish meets our standards of excellence. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the planning and execution of daily menus, ensuring variety and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service and address any issues that arise during service.
- Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after use.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with culinary techniques, meal preparation, and food safety standards is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills in the culinary field.
