About the Role
We are looking for a bright, friendly and enthusiastic Apprentice Sustainability Practitioner to join our ESG & Sustainability team, based in London.
As an Apprentice you will be providing essential administrative and technical support to the ESG & Sustainability team whilst gaining valuable experience working with experienced members of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract & Consultancy support
Social value contract commitments
- Liaising with local schools and charities to arrange volunteering
- Arranging work experience placements with partners and host teams
- Coordinate recruitment of apprenticeships
- Supporting with data management and reporting
- Coordinate fee allocations with contract teams
ESG Reporting for Funds
- Compile quarterly ESG reports for various property funds.
- Review and analyse invoices related various assets.
- Collect and assess EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) data.
- Track and report on ESG metrics and performance indicators.
Technical Report Writing
- Summarise recommendation reports for sustainability upgrades (e.g. EV charging stations, solar PV installations).
- Summarize findings from site visits and client meetings.
- Ensure reports are clear, data-driven, and tailored to client needs**.**
Client Engagement
- Participate in client meetings to discuss ESG strategies and findings.
- Take notes and follow up on action items from meetings.
Data Management & Analysis
- Maintain organised records of ESG data across multiple assets.
- Use Excel and other Microsoft tools to analyse trends and performance.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reports.
Corporate
Social Impact
- Collect data and manage the data validation submission for the annual social impact report
- Manage volunteering opportunities and arrange volunteer days
- Promote and monitor the social value policy internally
- Organise and manage charity partnerships and fundraising events
- Support the running of internal and external events or workshops
Net Zero & Disclosures
- Manage and collect data for disclosures such as CDP & Ecovadis
- Manage disclosure submissions
- Corporate Submissions
- Gather utilities data for each of our offices
- Gathering commuting and travel data for our employees
- Engaging with our suppliers to help gain visibility of their corporate emissions
- Manipulating data and submitting to different platforms (eg Planet Mark, CDP etc) for disclosures.
General
- Research and provides insights on upcoming relevant changes, trends and topics for both corporate and client work
- Inform the team of any upcoming or new sustainability related risks
- Encourage the uptake of sustainability platforms and courses across the business
- Ensure business alignment with the ESG Policy and strategise to ensure each area is met
Admin support
- When ESG opportunities arise, running conflict of interest checks to ensure that we remain compliant
- Creating jobs on our finance platform EBIS
- Raising invoices and sending onto clients
- Tracking our billing in our sales tracker
- Ensure guidance documents, brochures and policies are up to date and located in accessible places
- Managing team subscriptions, costs and manage budget risks
