Alabaré are looking to recruit a Full - time Support Worker in our Veterans Service covering 2 properties in Conwy. This position calls for a flexible, proactive approach and will involve working in a person-centred supported house which will include service user involvement, key working and outcome monitoring as required internally and by the funders to support veterans to lead fulfilling and independent lives.
Job Specifics:
- Full time Annual salary £24,765.00 rising to £25,116.00 after a probation period.
- Hourly rate of £12.70 rising to £12.88 after probation.
- Flexible rota Monday to Friday and will include 1 day on alternate weekends to meet the needs of the service.

- Relevant qualification or be committed to personal development through training.
- Experience of working in the supported housing sector
- Experience of the key working system.
- Knowledge of supervising staff.
- Be approachable , resilient and have a sense of humour.
- Experience of managing own professional boundaries and confidentiality
- Knowledge of the welfare benefits system.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and crisis manage.
- Good admin and IT skills including databases.
- Be organised with good communication and written skills.
- You must be currently resident in the UK.
- You must have the right to work in the UK.
- You must be confident working as part of a team and on your own.
- Car driver essential with access to a road worthy vehicle and business insurance.
Alabaré are committed to ensuring the well-being and safety of all our service users, this includes developing, implementing and maintaining effective recruitment policies and procedures to promote the safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults. Before commencing employment, the HR Department undertakes pre-employment checks on all applicants who have been offered a job with the Charity. These checks include an Enhanced DBS, which will be renewed every 3 years, the right to live and work in the UK, as well as two satisfactory references.
All staff will be required to complete training on Safeguarding Adults and Young People within their first week of employment.
