OVERVIEW:

We're looking for a visionary Styling Lead who's passionate about building iconic brand looks, developing creative teams, and turning product into storytelling that resonates deeply with our community.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

You love styling and are at your happiest when helping guide others to take a range of products and turn them into distinctive and iconic characters of the brand that resonate with the community. You enjoy building teams, growing culture and developing talent.

You can see the bigger picture – how each campaign continues a narrative, provides value, and how they all contribute to building a successful brand. You enjoy managing, inspiring and leading a team to consistently create those industry-defining looks. You understand how important our community is to us, and would relish translating our brand strategy into a clear vision for the Styling team and a roadmap they can deliver against.

You're confident in art directing seasonal core shoots, and you're someone who leads from the front – whether that means rolling up your sleeves on a campaign day or jumping in to support e-commerce styling when needed. You take pride in teaching others, guiding less experienced stylists, and creating a culture where learning and growth are embedded in everything we do.

You are a natural leader, able to work with and clearly articulate yourself to multiple stakeholders across several teams. The successful candidate will have proven experience in growing and mentoring styling teams and helping build the environment for them to create and deliver impactful ideas across multiple touchpoints.

Leadership & Strategy

  • Work with Creative Leadership to help define how the Styling team can help deliver the wider Brand vision through norm-challenging looks, characters, and identities—continually improving brand/value awareness and advocacy while achieving wider business KPIs.
  • Be seen as a leader in the industry, pushing our brand and values, and driving change in line with our Brand Purpose of Uniting the Conditioning Community.
  • Manage all members of the team and guide and align them to achieve that vision while creating industry-defining looks.
  • Confidently art direct seasonal core shoots to ensure they align with brand standards and deliver high-impact styling narratives.
  • Work with other Managers and Heads of in the wider business to co-ordinate approaches and provide transparency across the teams—making them greater than the sum of their parts.
  • Grow and develop the team by setting out individual development plans with clear goals and objectives and following up with regular 1:1 meetings to help achieve them.
  • Mentor and upskill junior and midweight stylists, embedding a culture of continuous learning and development.

Day-to-day

  • Set the tone for the whole team, championing the best styling ideas from both the team and the wider industry.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of styling briefs, identifying any additional information needed.
  • Continually develop practices and processes to inspire, disrupt, and encourage new ways of thinking.
  • Own styling vision across all content (campaign, e-com, social).
  • Act as a strategic bridge between styling and the rest of the business, including merch, design, product, and brand.
  • Lead seasonal styling direction, including rail builds, trend forecasts, and brand tone evolution.
  • Sign off on campaign styling concepts and e-commerce look guidelines.
  • Be ready to jump in hands-on when needed—whether that's styling on campaign days or providing boots-on-the-ground support during busy e-commerce periods.
  • Oversee team performance, workload balancing, development, as well as freelancer pool selection/management.
  • Represent styling in leadership-level content planning meetings.
  • Oversee the creation of award entries and case studies to showcase the work of the team both internally and externally, being the champion of the team and communicating its capabilities to all relevant stakeholders.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Essential Criteria:

  • An excellent portfolio that spans various product and fashion brands.
  • Extensive experience in the styling industry across a plethora of channels; deep expertise in building key brand looks.
  • Proven confidence in art directing high-impact shoots and translating brand strategy into elevated visuals.
  • Experience managing, leading, and developing large styling teams.
  • Passion for mentoring and teaching others; a proven track record of growing talent.
  • Comfortable getting hands-on in fast-paced environments—whether on campaign sets or e-commerce floors.
  • Experience collaborating with creatives, photographers, producers, HMUAs, and vendors to seamlessly execute projects.
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, interpersonal, and inter-departmental.
  • Thought leadership: a strong point of view; ability to contribute to the strategic development of a department.
  • Access to an extensive roster of industry freelance resources.
  • The ability to develop, inspire, and motivate a team to create and deliver truly remarkable, influential, and impactful work.
  • A solid understanding of media as well as the marketing industry at large; an ability and a desire to adapt to the changing landscape.
  • Ability to establish cross-functional relationships and act as a leader for the department.
