The Structurer works closely with Sales/Coverage, Origination and/or Trading and helps deliver tailored structured products/solutions/platforms to the Bank/clients, in line with the specified needs and in alignment with the strategy of the Private Bank.
You will develop solutions/platforms based on a good understanding of the Bank/Client’s needs (such as risk appetite, time horizon, coupon level and/or frequency; basket composition, tax schemes) and may participate in client meetings along with Sales/Coverage to advise on the key features of the structured product and help close the deal.
You will also have responsibility for monitoring ongoing transactions and be involved in the review/drafting of marketing, deal execution materials and internal desk reports. You will also have responsibility for obtaining all required approvals through the New Product Approval (NPA)/ New Transaction Approval (NTA) process.
Where the role includes management oversight of a team of Structurers/Structuring Analysts, you will provide advice and guidance to the team on daily structuring activities/the more complex transactions/platforms and ensure adherence to all relevant internal policies and external legal/regulatory requirements.

Your key responsibilities
- Overseeing all structuring activities within remit
- Providing advice and guidance to teams on the development of appropriate products/solution/platforms
- Partnering with functional and cross-functional colleagues to ensure that products/solutions/platforms meet the needs of the Bank/Clients and may also participate in the negotiation and execution of the mandated transactions with clients
- Ensuring adherence to the NPA/NTA process and participating in discussions with internal partners (such as Risk/ Legal) as appropriate, for the smooth execution of transactions
- Attaining set performance targets, optimum resource utilisation and adherence to relevant internal policies/controls and regulatory requirements
- Managing all aspects of the new product development. Coordinating any stress tests of the relevant portfolios, across Risk and Lending, and also across different regions
Your skills and experience
- Educated to post graduate studies or equivalent qualification/work experience in Finance and/or Accounting
- Relevant work experience in a finance organisation
- Strong analytical skills with experience in analysis of company financials, financial modelling
- Experience in conducting due diligence and in legal document negotiation
