Job Title: Storeman / Packer / Forklift Driver
Stockline Plastics Limited in Glasgow are looking for a full time stores person / forklift driver to work in our busy and demanding warehouse due to our recent growth.
We focus on customer service and satisfaction , so the ability to deliver first rate / first time is the key.
Job Description:
General Housekeeping – Keeping the stores and yard are clean and tidy. This would include emptying bins on a regular basis.
Packing and wrapping goods for shipment via internal transport or external carrier.
Assisting other stores people by loading materials onto saws.
Unloading and loading vehicles with parcels, materials and pallets.
Moving pallets in and out of the warehouse and around the yard.
Dealing with customer collections.
Skills / Experience required is as follows:
- Physically fit.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Proven work experience as a warehouse operative.
- Ability to pick and pack orders and load and unload deliveries.
- Ability to multitask.
- Attention to detail.
- Good English - Reading, writing and numeracy.
- Awareness of sizes, measuring skills and use of workshop tools is an advantage.
- A current counterbalance forklift license is essential for this role with more than a year’s experience advantageous.
- A current driving license is also advantageous.
- We would also give preference to anyone one with 1st Aid, Health and Safety, Fire qualifications.
Experience:
- Warehouse experience: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Counter Balance Forklift License (required) with up to a years experience.
Ability to Commute:
- Glasgow (required)
