Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Stonemason to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and be proficient in working with various materials, including stone, brick, and concrete. As a Stonemason, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures made of stone and other masonry materials. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Duties
- Construct and repair walls, floors, and other structures using stone, brick, and concrete.
- Lay out work according to blueprints or specifications.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to shape and finish materials.
- Perform bricklaying tasks with precision to ensure structural integrity.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and roofers on construction projects.
- Conduct welding tasks as needed for specific projects.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols.
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance and compliance with standards.
Requirements
- Qualifications and experience in masonry work, including stonemasonry and bricklaying.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade.
- Knowledge of carpentry techniques is advantageous.
- Familiarity with roofing practices is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
