Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, highly organised and data savvy Stock and Inventory specialist.
This pivotal role will be responsible for managing stock levels, overseeing the inventory accuracy, and ensuring optimal purchasing processes across the business.
A key part of this role is acting as the internal Eazystock system champion, using the software to drive efficiencies, enhance forecasting accuracy and ensure stock availability aligns with the business needs.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of stock and inventory management processes across multiple product lines.
- Maintain accurate stock levels and data integrity in collaboration with warehouse and procurement teams.
- Act as the Eazystock subject matter expert, supporting its ongoing implementation, optimization and training.
- Work with purchasing to generate automated and manual purchase orders via Eazystock base on demand and planning re-order points.
- Analyse inventory data to reduce excess stock, improve stock turns and minimize stock outs.
- Liaise with internal departments to forecast demand an align stock holding with sales trends.
- Create regular reports and dashboards to track KPI's such as stock availability, order fill rate and inventory value.
- Provide training and support to team members on Eazystock best practices.
- Collaborate with IT and Finance where needed to Ensure systems intergration and data consistency.
Qualifications & skills
- Proven experience in inventory / stock control,, purchasing or supply chain operations.
- Strong working knowledge of stock optimization and forecasting tools.
- Highly analytical with the ability to interpret and act on inventory data.
- Strong Excel or spreadsheet skills, ERP system experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills across departments.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to improve systems and processes.
- Detail-oriented with a continuous mindset.
- Experience in distribution, wholesale or manufacturing environment.
- Formal qualification in supply chain, logistics or operations (e.g. CIPS, APICS) would be an advantage.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Merlin, SAP or similar
