We are hiring for immediate start, ideally all successful applicants will be able to start within 1-2 working days. Must have a full Driving license and own vehicle.
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in assembling and fabricating components. You will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings and specifications to ensure precise assembly of products. Your expertise in welding, particularly stick welding, and proficiency with both hand and power tools will be essential in delivering high-quality work.
The Steel Fitter candidates must have previous experience installing structural steelwork and be physically fit.
Duties
- Assemble and fabricate metal components according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Perform welding tasks, including stick welding, to join metal parts securely.
- Utilise basic maths skills to calculate dimensions and tolerances accurately.
- Work with sheet metal to create various structures and components.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools are accounted for.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while adhering to safety standards.
Requirements
- You will be working with resedential building on lofts, empty structures and balconies.
- Must have CSCS Card.
- Proven experience as a Fitter.
- Complete set of tools; inclusive of impact driver, angle grinder & SDS drill and adequate PPE.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Proficiency in welding techniques, particularly stick welding, is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes is an advantage.
- Competence in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Basic maths skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately.
- A strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work independtyly or in a team.
