Job Summary

Cranleigh seeks to appoint, mid August 2025, a Sports Graduate Assistant.

Cranleigh is a leading fully co-educational independent boarding and day Senior School consisting of around 670 girls and boys of 13–18 years of age. There is also a flourishing Preparatory School in close proximity.

Cranleigh aspires to be a beacon of excellence in academic studies and co-curricular pursuits and is committed to the continuing professional development of all employees.

Successful applicants will be full members of teaching staff (Graduate Assistant) and will be expected to take an active role in the Co-curricular and Pastoral programmes of Cranleigh School as well as assisting in academic lessons as appropriate. The post will also involve an active coaching role in the sports programme at Cranleigh Prep School.

The role is varied and the exact scope of the role will be partly shaped by the qualifications, skills, experience and ambitions of the individual.

The individual should have the ability to coach Tennis to a high level, and be willing to support in coaching and officiating at least two other sports (Hockey, Netball, Rugby and football) in particular. The successful candidate will help to deliver tennis sessions throughout the year as well as helping to develop an ever growing and flourishing sports department.

This is a fixed term appointment for one year and comes with a salary of £18,000 per annum. Accommodation and all meals in term-time are provided.
