The Role…
We are looking for individuals to join our Holiday Camp team on a casual basis. Individuals should have a keen interest in sport and child development, including physical and mental well-being. We are looking for individuals who possess charisma, are articulate, well-presented and have a beaming smile! You should also be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. Successful candidates will be trained and developed through our bespoke S4K University platform.
You will be responsible for caring for children at our S4K Camps , supervising and leading sports & craft activities for children between the ages of 4 years – 12 years old.
Job Description
S4K need enthusiastic, energetic and committed individuals to join our rapidly expanding team and begin their journey to become a S4K Camp Coach. You will learn;
- The best child behaviour management strategies
- Safeguarding and Health and Safety responsibilities
- How to communicate and interact with parents and children
- How to deliver outstanding sessions with confidence
- How to identify talented children, and grow and nurture these talents
Hours: Casual Basis
Location: WOKING
Duties will include:
- Delivering quality sessions within a safe and caring environment.
- Organising and setting up the sessions space.
- Undertaking session administration, where necessary.
- Facilitating good communication with all members of the organisation and parents.
- Undertaking appropriate and relevant training.
- Keeping the work environment safe and secure.
- Working within the framework of Ofsted and the club’s policies and procedures.
- Taking responsibility, Decision making, Leading/Managing people and building relationships
Specification and requirements
· Experience of working with children 4 years to 12 years old
· You are prepared to ‘go the extra mile’
· Understanding the varied needs of children and their families
· Provide and facilitate safe and creative sessions with consistency and continuity
· Good communication skills
· Have high energy & drive to deliver a fun day for every child
· You can deliver a world class customer service experience
· Positive attitude to working as part of a team helping others to achieve together
· Sound judgement and common sense
· Sufficient understanding and use of English to ensure the well-being of the children
· Experience of working within a sport or care-based setting
· Ability to work on own initiative
· Current Paediatric First Aid Certificate, (would be desirable)
· Please note due to Ofsted regulations, you must be 17 years old, or older to apply
