About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Specialist Cleaning Technician to deliver a wide range of industrial cleaning services—including high-level cleaning, gutter cleaning, jet washing, and site deep cleans—across the Glasgow area. You’ll work with a diverse client base: large forecourt retailers, local councils, housing associations, and property managers. The role is hands-on, field-based, and ideal for someone who enjoys varied work, problem-solving on site, and maintaining high safety and quality standards.
What you’ll do
- Attend sites daily to carry out specialist cleaning tasks (industrial, high-level, gutters, pressure/jet washing, façade and cladding washdowns).
- Safely operate MEWPs (boom/scissor), mobile towers, rope access systems, and jet/steam equipment.
- Complete dynamic risk assessments and follow RAMS, permits, isolation procedures and site inductions.
- Capture before/after evidence (photos/video/drone where trained) and complete digital job reports.
- Update Excel-based job trackers, read client spreadsheets (schedules, asset lists, permit matrices), and keep accurate records of hours, materials and site notes.
- Liaise with clients and site contacts to confirm scopes, access arrangements, and sign-off.
- Care for company equipment/vehicles and ensure consumables, chemicals and PPE are stocked and compliant.
- Support teammates on complex jobs and occasionally lead small crews when required.
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience in specialist/industrial cleaning, including work at height (essential).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and confidence reading/interpreting spreadsheets
- Strong practical skills with attention to detail and a “right-first-time” approach.
- Confident communicator with customers and teammates.
- Good understanding of H&S, including CoSHH, manual handling, and safe systems of work.
- Full, clean UK driving licence .
- Comfortable with early starts, flexible hours, and travel.
Qualifications & tickets (ideal)
- IPAF (1b/3a/3b) – essential or willing to obtain quickly.
- PASMA (mobile access towers).
- IRATA (Level 1+ rope access) or equivalent rope access competence.
- Working at Height / Harness User & Inspector certifications.
- First Aid at Work (desirable).
- CSCS (desirable).

Typical projects
- Retail forecourt site deep cleans, canopy cleans, gutter cleans, fascia/soffit and signage cleaning.
- Social housing/estate gutter clears and high-level moss removal.
- Jet/steam washing of paving, façades and service yards.
- Reactive call-outs following storms (blocked gutters/overflow issues).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £30,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
