About The Role
The Social Media Executive will play a critical role in maintaining and developing Gateley's social media presence, contributing to the design, development, planning and execution of best-in-class social media content. The Social Media Executive will work to achieve two core objectives; firstly, to raise awareness of the Group's professional services expertise amongst potential clients, secondly, to position the Group as a standout employer with potential new hires.
Although the role sits within our Communications team, reporting to the Senior Internal Communications Manager, the role holder will also work very closely with our HR Director and the wider recruitment team.
The role holder will take responsibility for converting marketing and recruitment objectives into actionable content plans; drafting, scheduling, and creating accompanying assets for all social media posts shared by the Group. The Social Media Executive will continuously measure the performance of existing activities to see what works well, and what doesn't work so well, identifying areas of opportunity and keeping on top of new tools, ideas, and channels that could be utilised by the Group.
- Manage the Groups various social accounts, including LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and other relevant channels
- Create, manage, and optimise our social media calendar across multiple platforms, making room for reactive or quick-win opportunities when necessary.
- Draft social messaging and create accompanying visual assets
- Remain aware of key dates, events, and trends to find opportunities for Gateley to maximise engagement
- Manage the day-to-day implementation of our internal advocacy programme, ensuring that key stakeholders across the Group are sharing the right content at the right time
- Attend events as directed by the Head of Internal Communications and capture content for sharing across our social media channels
- Support the Head of Internal Communications in training Gateley people to better utilise social media
- Monitor and proactively respond to positive engagement with branded content
- Monitor incoming mentions across all platforms to identify opportunities and escalate issues to our Corporate Communications team.
- Work closely with our LinkedIn Account team to manage and develop our LinkedIn 'Life' pages to help attract new talent
- Working closely with the HR Director and recruitment team to communicate our Employee Value Proposition (EVP) to prospective candidates both actively and passively searching for a new role
- Working closely alongside the Communications Director and Head of Internal Communications, monitor social media conversations to help mitigate brand reputation risks. Supported by our social listening tool, Brandwatch
- Provide analysis and reporting on existing social media channels, the success of our content plans, as well as advising on how to improve
- Proactively work and collaborate as part of the communications team to deliver against set objectives
- Keen to upskill themself and build relationships with internal stakeholders of all levels across the business

You will have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role, you will be analytical with a keen eye for detail and a passion for digital content & social media marketing. Organisational skills will be critical, as it's a busy team and you'll need to be good at juggling different tasks and making sure deadlines are met.
An understanding of digital marketing best practice and experience of converting marketing objectives into actionable & creative content for social media posts is essential.
The ideal candidate will want to hit the ground running and have an appetite to learn more about how digital marketing works within a modern business.
