Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and the ability to perform various tasks in a construction or maintenance environment. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
Duties
- Assist in the construction and maintenance of structures, including roofing and masonry tasks.
- Read and interpret schematics to ensure accurate execution of projects.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Perform heavy lifting as required for various tasks and materials.
- Fabricate components as needed for construction projects.
- Carry out carpentry work, including framing and installation of fixtures.
- Assist with plumbing tasks under the supervision of qualified personnel.
- Engage in welding activities as necessary for project completion.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a labouring role or similar position is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with roofing techniques and materials is advantageous.
- Ability to read and understand schematics is beneficial.
- Experience with heavy lifting and physical labour is required.
- Proficient in using power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment.
- Basic knowledge of masonry techniques is a plus.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
- A commitment to safety practices on-site at all times.
