Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Shuttering Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in shuttering and possess a strong understanding of construction principles. This role involves working on various projects, including residential and commercial builds, where you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. The Carpenter must be able to work independently as well as part of a team, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood.
- Use power tools and hand tools to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials according to specifications.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project completion on time.
- Perform heavy lifting as required for various construction tasks.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols.
- Assist in masonry work when necessary.
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge in the assembly of structures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Shuttering Carpenter or similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Strong understanding of carpentry techniques.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 kg) as part of daily tasks.
- CSCS Card is essential.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
