Job Title: Shop Floor Assistant

Job Type: Full-time /shift work 40hrs per week
Salary: £12.50 Hourly Rate
Are you a friendly, customer-focused individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment? We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Shop Floor Assistant to join our team and help deliver a seamless customer experience on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
As a Shop Floor Assistant, your primary role is to ensure a smooth and efficient sales process by:
- Promptly serving customers using our EPOS system and ensuring accurate transactions
- Meeting and greeting customers, offering assistance and a high level of service at all times
- Replenishing shelves throughout the day to ensure full product availability
- Maintaining well-presented shelves, accurate pricing, and clean shop floor standards
- Handling stock carefully to minimize damages and applying correct rotation to reduce waste
- Supporting the front of house controller in category development and customer feedback
- Assisting with stock counts and preparing for audits with the inventory controller
- Contributing to overall housekeeping and complying with Health & Safety standards
Key Skills & Knowledge
We’re looking for someone who has:
- A kind, approachable, and helpful attitude towards customers
- Basic knowledge of general retail products and product placement (desired but not essential)
- The ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly in English
- Good physical fitness and a strong work ethic
- Flexibility to work various shifts according to the rota
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to complete tasks efficiently
