Salary - £40,895.80 per annum

At Arriva TrainCare we provide high quality overhaul, maintenance and servicing of passenger rolling stock, locomotives, freight wagons and track plant. We operate throughout the UK from six strategic locations – Crewe, Bristol, Eastleigh, Cambridge, Tyne Yard and Scarborough.

The Role:
Working at our Tyne Yard depot, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance activities of rail vehicles to laid down standards and procedures.
What You’ll Do:
Drive rail vehicles as required
Ensure that safety procedures and documents are adhered to in accordance with VMI & local instruction
Ensure that work sheets are signed off promptly
Attend safety briefings
Good housekeeping and cleaning of the depot
Assist as directed by Team Leader to ensure rolling stock availability

What You Bring:
Qualifications – minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Engineering
Experience – previous experience, involvement and understanding of rail vehicle maintenance activities is desirable
Knowledge – good understanding of depot operations with the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
Engineering – strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering
