We support our clients across domestic gas, commercial gas, renewables, and electrical services. Role
Reporting to the Head of SHEQ, the SHEQ Advisor will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of Safety, Health Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) are maintained across all, operations., they will display a proactive approach to risk management and compliance, as well as the ability to promote a culture of safety within the organisation.
- Develop, implement and monitor SHEQ policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess H & S compliance and identify required improvements.
- Provide training and support relating to SHEQ practices, including new starter inductions.
- Assist with incident / accident investigations prepare detailed reports including recommendations for corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of SHEQ activities.
- Carry out work equipment inspections and maintain accurate records of these.
- Liaise with external agencies and clients regarding SHEQ matters as required.
- Regular attendance at toolbox talks in order to cascade SWHEQ information.
- Liaise with staff and management to meet business / contract needs.
- Support management and operational teams regarding SHEQ issues.
- Provide assistance with risk assessment / management.
- Ensure that safety systems are fit for purpose.
- Review and amend SHEQ documentation.
The successful candidate will have
- Proven experience in a SHEQ role within a relevant industry is essential.
- Strong understanding of health and safety and environmental regulations and management systems.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical skills.
- The ability to identify potential risks and implement control measures.
- A relevant qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental management is desirable but not essential.
- Experience in conducting training sessions
