Service Lead
Hourly rate: £15.50
Full time 40 Hours - Rotas will include a mixture of the following shifts
- Day shift – 8am until 8pm
- Night shift – 8pm until 8am
- Sleep ins – 8am until 8am next day (8am – 10:30pm on shift, 10:30pm – 7am Sleep) – sleeps paid
Locations may vary due to the accommodation being provided by the local authority, but the closest home will be selected for you.

Key Responsibilities -
- Leadership and Team Management – Supervise, mentor, and support staff to ensure high standards of care and professional development.
- Safeguarding and Compliance – Ensure the safety and protection of children by adhering to safeguarding policies and regulatory frameworks.
- Care Planning and Support – Implement and monitor individual care plans, supporting children with their emotional, social, and behavioural needs.
- Crisis Management and Problem-Solving – Address challenging behaviours and crises effectively using therapeutic and restorative approaches.
- Communication and Record-Keeping – Maintain accurate records, reports, and liaise with external agencies, families, and professionals.
- Shift and Resource Management – Oversee staff rotas, ensure adequate staffing levels, and manage the home’s resources effectively
You must –
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a residential childcare setting
- Experience in leading or supervising a team
- Supporting children with challenging behaviors, emotional difficulties, and special needs.
- Experience in safeguarding and child protection procedures, including reporting concerns and following legal frameworks.
