Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our vibrant team in one of our Indian Restaurants. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional guest experiences in our restaurant. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our patrons receive prompt and friendly service while enjoying their meals. Duties

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere.
• Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently, using your knowledge of the menu to assist guests in their choices.
• Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring that all items are presented beautifully and meet food safety standards.
• Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
• Assist with food preparation when necessary, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area.
• Basic experience in handling the bar is an added advantage
• Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving to provide excellent guest services at all times.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and maintain smooth operations during busy periods.
• Maintain knowledge of current menu offerings, specials, and promotions to effectively communicate with guests.

Skills

• Previous experience in an Indian restaurant is preferred
• General experience in a culinary environment is a must
• Strong understanding of food safety practices and procedures.
• Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition towards guests and team members alike. This would be the most important skill requirement
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and providing outstanding guest experiences is the foremost requirement in a prospective employee
• Experience in upselling techniques is advantageous.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Zero hours contract

Pay: £11.44-£13.50 per hour
