The role is for a Senior Undergrounds Designer with a market leading provider of Oil & Gas, LNG and Renewable Energy Projects.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for UG modelling and design/drafting work for any specific area of the plant in accordance with Company standards and as per Project Schedule.
- Able to carry out 3D modelling of UG systems (Oil free clean water system, Accidental oil contaminated system and Continuously Oil contaminated system) other utilities including concrete structures independently using SP3D
- Able to extract UG Composite drawings, Roads, Grading and Paving Drawings from 3D Model (Smart Plant 3D)
- Good drafting capabilities using Smartsketch and Autocad.
- Checks drawings before issuing them to UG Lead designer to ensure consistency and compliance with Company standards
- Able to prepare 2D Schematic diagrams for Underground Routing
- Good knowledge in Underground standards and codes.
- Able to prepare Standard Civil Underground Standard drawings for various UG systems.
- Familiar with clash management and ability to resolve clashes including liaising with other disciplines.
- Familiar with production of ISO’s for Underground Piping.
- Able to understand drainage calculations, Microdrainage output results to produce Underground systems, Manhole, Catch basin schedules etc.
- Able to generate reports, Understands MTO requirements and able to assist Senior Engineers with UG MTO requirements
- Ensures effective communication among other engineering disciplines
- Good understanding of Cable trench modelling and layout for Electrical, Instruments and Telecom
- Ensure that drawings provide a constructible costs effective and safe solution in construction
- Leads by example in accordance with Company values
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- Expert user of Smartplant 3D (S3D) including Smartsketch
- Able to use a recent version of AutoCAD
- Knowledgeable with typical concrete arrangements (Manholes, Catch Basins, Ditches, Headwalls, Culverts etc.)
- Knowledgeable with Foundation/Culverts G.A and R.C Detail
- Knowledgeable with Roads, Paving and U.G Layouts
- Familiar with Construction drawings
- Knowledgeable with Interpretation of Multi-discipline Information
- Experience in Clash Checking
- Familiar on Material Take-Off
- Familiar with LNG projects at FEED / EPC stages
- With HNC / HND Civil Engineering Certificate / Diploma or equivalent
- Typically, 10-15 years of experience in design modeling, drafting with at least 5 in the Oil and Gas industry
