Join George as an Assistant Garment Designer in our Baby Boys’ department on a 12 month FTC. We are a leading name in children’s fashion, creating stylish, high-quality, and comfortable clothing for little ones. If you love design, have an eye for trends, and enjoy working in a creative, collaborative environment, this is the perfect role for you.

We’re looking for an Assistant Garment Designer to support the Senior Designer on our Baby Boys’ fashion ranges. You’ll help bring ideas to life, contribute to collections, and work across all stages of product development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop concepts, sketches, and CADs in collaboration with the Senior Designer

  • Create and update tech packs with construction details, materials, and specifications

  • Research trends and analyse the market to keep designs relevant and competitive

  • Support fabric, trim, and colour selection for seasonal collections

  • Work with cross-functional teams—including merchandising and buying—to ensure a cohesive range

  • Attend supplier and departmental meetings, supporting the Senior Designer with presentation and mood boards

  • Contribute ideas in brainstorming and seasonal design meetings

  • Deliver work to deadlines, aligned with project timelines and the critical path

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activity

"Let's find out about you”

  • Degree in Fashion Design or related field

  • 1–2 years’ experience in a design role, ideally in children’s fashion

  • Strong Adobe Illustrator and CAD skills

  • Good knowledge of garment construction, textiles, and trims

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Highly organised with strong time management skills

  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

  • Passion for children’s fashion and a strong eye for detail

This is an exciting opportunity to join a creative, trend-focused team at George and gain hands-on experience in children’s fashion design. You’ll work closely with the Senior Designer, contribute to engaging Baby Boys’ collections, and develop your skills in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. If you’re passionate about fashion and ready to make your mark, we’d love to hear from you!
