Senior Seamstress (Part-Time)

About Us
Seams and Dreams is Tamworth’s go-to destination for expert clothing alterations and creative garment solutions. We’re a friendly, independent shop with a long-standing reputation, and we take pride in delivering first-class results. We're now looking for a Senior Seamstress to join our small, supportive team.
The Role
This is a varied, hands-on position split across two key areas:
1. Customer Service & Fittings
- Welcoming clients into the shop
- Using our computerised booking and garment-tracking system
- Attending fittings and pinning garments to fit (training provided)
2. Alteration Work
- Carrying out a full range of alterations to clothing and curtains
- Shortening, letting out, taking in, zip replacements, etc.
- Working on industrial machines with care and precision
- Occasionally adapting to more creative or complex tasks
What You’ll Need
- Solid experience in all types of clothing alterations
- Confidence using industrial sewing equipment
- Attention to detail and pride in neat, high-quality results
- A creative, practical mindset and ability to problem-solve
- A friendly, professional manner with customers

- You are able to travel independently to Tamworth ready for 9am starts
- You are currently living in the UK and are legally able to work
- You know how to sew with a machine!
- You understand you will be dealing with the public as part of the job
- You understand we open 7 days a week
