About the Role
MUBI is seeking a Senior Programming Manager to join our team in London and help expand our Planning & Strategy capabilities. In close collaboration with our central and regional Programming teams, you will play a key role in delivering data-driven insights that enhance the impact and reach of the content we bring to our audiences.
Where you’ll have impact:
Providing regular and ad hoc platform performance analysis and insights that inform strategic planning, performance targets, and long-term decision-making.
Pro-actively devise and conduct analytic case studies that deepen our understanding of audience behaviour, viewing habits, and broader market trends.
Supporting the Programming team in evaluating and preparing optimal licensing deal terms, using data and strategic analysis to help forecast performance and impact.
Collaborating closely with the Data Science and Finance teams to refine our framework of Key Performance Indicators and shape a content-first understanding of title performance.
Monitoring subscriber growth across key territories and sharing timely insights on an ongoing basis.
Working with regional Programming teams as thought partner to better understand local market growth drivers, local viewing preferences and how local audiences engage with our offering — helping ensure our curation resonates across markets and platform performance targets are met.
Preparing regular reports on how films and series perform on the platform, identifying patterns in viewership, engagement, and retention.
Building clear, compelling presentations for senior management that highlight overall platform performance, as well as the impact of individual titles we bring to audiences.
Liaising with our Product and Engineering teams to assess new features and improvements, always with an eye on how they can help grow the reach and impact of the films and series we showcase.
What you’ll bring:
At least 5 years of experience in data analysis and insights within the film, television or video streaming industry, preferably with a focus on audience insights and content performance.
Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply streaming and viewing data to guide editorial and programming decisions.
Proven understanding of the SVOD landscape and experience working in audience-facing businesses.
Confidence in presenting data and insights to cross-functional teams and stakeholders of varying seniority.
Excellent attention to detail, with a structured and diligent approach to data analysis.
Strong time management and prioritisation skills, with a consistent track record of meeting targets and reporting progress.
Ability to work independently while also being an effective and collaborative team player.
Strong proficiency in Google Sheets and Google Scripts; SQL knowledge is highly desirable.
We want to make cinema accessible to everyone. We believe people from different backgrounds bring different ideas that foster innovation and engagement, allowing us to attract great people to develop the best experience for our users.
