About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated senior postdoctoral researcher in computational biology. The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary team working in an industry partnered project for translational drug discovery. The role will involve analysing large scale omics and spatial datasets from both primary patient samples and advanced in vitro model systems. The successful candidate will liaise with diverse teams of stakeholders and therefore excellent communication skills are a must.
This position is full time and fixed term for 12 months (part-time working will be considered).
About You
To be considered for this position you should;
Hold a Ph.D./D.Phil. in Computer Science, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics or a related discipline
Experience in both bulk and single cell RNA-seq, ATAC-seq
Experience with python and/or R programming languages, including single cell package ecosystems (scanpy and/or Seurat)
Experience working within HPC environments
Experience working at command line and BASH scripting
Experience working with large scale, complex datasets and data wrangling skills
Strong publication record and familiarity with the existing literature and research in the field
Ability to independently plan and manage a research project
Ability to effectively communicate and work within an inter-disciplinary team
