Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Nursery Practitioner to join our team at Busy Bunnies Nurseries - Hampton Water.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced practitioner looking for that next step to run a room and join a management team. This role will involve leading the room and staff, planning day to day activities and supporting the senior management team.
Duties
- Manage daily operations of the setting/room, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Drive the educational curriculum, promoting engaging activities that support children's development.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and wellbeing.
- Lead nursery staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children.
- Observe and assess children's learning and development, maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with other professionals to enhance the quality of care provided within the nursery.
- Ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to consistently.
Skills
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive working environment.
- Experience working with children of various ages, demonstrating patience and empathy.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining records and documentation.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making within the nursery context.
- Must have a full and recognised childcare qualification - minimum level 3
