Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our night team. In this role, you will work as an integral part of the nursing team, delivering the highest standards of personalised care to residents, ensuring that everyone is treated with respect and dignity, and that individual’s rights to privacy, dignity, independence and choice are met.
Leading and supervising carers with their work allocation and teamwork.
Assisting the nurses as required, with nursing assessments and undertaking medication administration.
Responsibilities
- To provide the highest level of person-centred care.
- To be a team leader
- To act as a key worker.
- To support the nursing team, participating in writing resident care plans, assessments and observations.
- Undertake medication administration rounds in allocated areas.
- Understand and have an awareness of Infection Prevention and Control.
- To be an active and supportive member of the care team, contributing to team meetings, ensuring good communication and helping new team members as appropriate, ensuring that the home is a friendly and supportive working environment.
Qualifications
- NVQ 3
- Medication training (desirable)
