Torfaen County Borough Council is inviting applications from highly motivated, experienced and enthusiastic professionals for the post of Senior Environmental Health Officer.
The role will involve delivering a range of services for which the Council is responsible in respect of housing safety (occupation phase) and environmental protection, including statutory nuisances. The post also involves fulfilling the role as the Lead Officer for Housing Safety, with responsibility for the operational oversight of environmental health aspects of housing safety activities.
The role will involve working flexible hours in accordance with Council policies to meet the needs of the service, including participation in any emergency out-of-hours standby service.
Applicants should have a degree in Environmental Health and hold a Certificate of Registration of the Environmental Health Registration Board or equivalent.
