Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. You will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities of our senior residents while fostering a positive and nurturing environment. Your leadership skills will be essential as you supervise junior staff and assist in the development of care plans tailored to individual needs.
Responsibilities
- Deliver personal care and support to residents, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Supervise and mentor junior care staff, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalised care plans for each resident.
- Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their health or behaviour.
- Foster open communication with residents, families, and team members to ensure a cohesive approach to care.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to care documentation using IT systems as required.
- Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the care environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Experience
- Previous experience in senior care or within a care home setting is essential.
- Supervising experience is highly desirable, showcasing leadership capabilities in managing a team.
- Medication management
- Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with residents, families, and colleagues.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents when required.
- Familiarity with creating and reviewing care plans is an advantage.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.21-£13.50 per hour
