Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in our care home. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior care, with experience in supervising staff and developing care plans. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Supervise and support junior staff, fostering a positive team environment.
- Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance personal skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a senior care role is essential, preferably within a care home setting.
- Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
- Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with residents compassionately.
- Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents when necessary.
