Description
We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Broker to help continue build out of our offering within Direct and Facultative GB. The successful candidate will work in our International Property team and will support an existing team that handles an existing portfolio of material sized placements.
We expect the candidate to be involved in business planning and business generation and will look for them to work with the existing team to help continue shaping an overall Global Strategy for group. The Role
- Ability to understand a client or prospect’s business, situations, opportunities, problems, and key issues and identify an outstanding placement strategy accordingly.
- To price and design conceptual, innovative placement programmes aligned to bespoke client need, drawing on the expertise of and working collaboratively with all Willis teams to achieve this (Retail teams, Account Executives, Claims, Risk & Analytics, Sales, Wordings etc).
- Ability to manage relationships across key stakeholders and negotiate placement with the (re)insurance market (London and international markets).
- Ability to drive new business and growth including preparing client and prospect presentations considering the impact of client profitability.
- Proactively identifying and executing against new new, and/or existing opportunities via developing a robust pipeline of future business.
- Provide technical, industry and subject matter expertise where required within the business unit and external to the business unit.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with WTW guidelines and procedures.
- A thorough understanding and an expert real time user for all relevant systems.
- Understand, apply and where necessary explain the BU policies and procedures.
- Identify primary budget holders and decision makers within clients, establish and maintain active relationships with these people
- Networking – internally with other BUs, within the sector, and with external specialists (lawyers, TPAs, insurers).
Qualifications
The Requirements:
- Preferably ACII qualified or working towards the ACII qualification
- Must have extensive experience in Property Insurance, including specific experience in the International Property marketplace with evident knowledge of the (re)insurance market to address client and technical issues
- Experience in consistently delivering an outstanding client service
- Experience in driving growth and new business
- “Whole chain” experience dealing with clients and colleagues globally from the retail to the reinsurance and cedant clients offering fronting solutions as well as portfolio protections
- Excellent technical skills including ability to assimilate and apply large volumes of information rapidly
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with ability to work across a range of key stakeholders (internal and external) and teams collaboratively
- Able to prioritise, manage deadlines and work under pressure
- Must be prepared to work with integrity and openness, always complying with FCA requirements and in alignment with the WTW values.
- Good IT skills with excellent Excel usage capability including:
- Broking Platform / PPL / FMA
- MS Office
- Power BI
- PQ / RIC
