JOB TITLE: Senior Associate, Payment Resolutions

THE JOB
This role is for someone who is looking to make a real investment in their career. Reporting to the Head of Billing & Debt Recovery, and working alongside the billing team, they will be required to work independently to ensure Fibrus business and residential customers pay their bills on time, and debt is actioned appropriately. The post provides an opportunity for a self-starter to contribute to a new company and expand their knowledge as we grow and implement new systems.
Key responsibilities include:
· Managing customer cases referred from Customer Services; work with other departments to resolve complex accounts issues & disputes blocking payment
· Considering the impact of recommendations when making decisions or resolving problems
· Chasing overdue payments via telephone, email & SMS
· Assist customers struggling to pay in line with Credit Policy
· Negotiating and managing payment plans through to completion.
· Processing financial transactions accurately
· Maximise Direct Debit take up, assisting with set up & ensuring systems are aligned
· Liaise with and assist Debt Collection agency in pursuance of aged debt for closed accounts.
· Initiating legal proceedings where appropriate
· Producing & analysing reports for customer specific collections analysis and activity
· Maintaining accurate records and maintain full compliance with GDPR
· Other activities as requested by the PRT Manager / Head of Billing & Debt Recovery.
WHAT WILL YOU BRING?
· 3 year’s + recent experience in a Credit Control position
· Proven experience in dealing with complex customer payment queries
· Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm in demanding situations
· Strong numeracy skills and technical ability, to include Excel
· Eye for detail and ability to adapt to new systems
· Manage changing priorities within tight deadlines while ensuring quality output
· Exemplary listening and negotiation skills, with a strong sense of professionalism
· Confidence: you can assert yourself in a professional and amenable manner.
· CICM qualification or equivalent (desirable)
· Accounting / Finance related Level 3/4 qualification (desirable)
