Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? We are excited to offer a full time SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity at a vibrant and inclusive mainstream primary school in Hackney, starting this September!
This is a full time role (8:30am–3:30pm, term time only) supporting a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) on a 1:1 basis within the school’s SEN provision. You’ll also assist with general classroom activities, helping to create an engaging and supportive environment for all learners.

Daily Responsibilities Include:
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a child with ASD
- Implementing tailored learning strategies based on the child’s EHCP
- Assisting with sensory activities and social interaction tasks
- Supporting learning across all curriculum areas in the classroom
- Monitoring progress and feeding back to teachers and SENCO
- Helping the child develop independence, communication, and self-regulation skills
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and outside professionals
- Assisting with transitions and creating a structured, nurturing space for learning
