Are you a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a child’s life?
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with complex needs in a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Worthing . This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with a child who requires tailored support to thrive in their learning environment.
About the Role:
- 1:1 support for a child with complex needs (including communication and sensory challenges)
- Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to implement a personalised learning plan
- Use a range of strategies and resources to support the child’s academic, social, and emotional development
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to the team and parents
✅ We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience working with children with complex SEN needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties)
- A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to inclusion and supporting every child to reach their potential Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEN training) are desirable
