SEND Learning Support Assistant – Secondary School (CH43, Wirral)

We are looking for a full-time SEND Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in the CH43 area of Wirral. The school caters for pupils with social, behavioural and learning difficulties, and you will play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
Role details:
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm
- Contract: Long-term, spanning the full academic year
- Pay: Competitive daily rate on offer
Your role will involve:
- Supporting pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs, as well as those with additional learning difficulties.
- Providing 1:1 and small group support under the direction of the class teacher.
- Building positive relationships with students to encourage engagement and progress.
- Assisting with classroom management and promoting a calm, inclusive learning environment.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Patient, resilient and nurturing.
- Experienced (or keen to develop experience) in working with SEND pupils.
- A team player who can work closely with teachers and support staff.
