About the role

To manage the statutory processes associated with Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments/Plans for an identified caseload of children and young people.

What will you be doing?

You will facilitate the statutory functions associated with the Education Heath and Care Needs Assessment and Annual Review Processes for children with complex additional needs, ensuring the effective use of resources in schools and settings both in and out of County. This will include drafting Education Health and Care Plans and attending planning meetings as and when necessary. Assisting in the monitoring of children and young people’s progress through the Statutory Annual Review process by attending review meetings where needed and updating EHC Plans. You will be working in partnership with parents/carers, children and young people and will develop effective relationships with schools, professionals and other agencies.

About you

You will require sound working knowledge and understanding of the SEND Code of Practice, SEND Regulations and the Children and Families Act with an understanding of key timeframes and deadlines associated with the EHC statutory processes.

You will be a motivated individual who is able to work well under pressure and respond to competing demands and deadlines.
